Susan MorrowSusan Morrow, APR brings 25+ years of experience in public relations/communications management to Marketing Symphony. Susan Morrow has planned and implemented programs for emerging and large business in diversified industries. She also is a crisis management specialist and helps organizations in the areas of internal planning, communications with media, community, and industry audiences, and counseling during actual crisis situations.

In addition, Morrow manages public relations/marketing services for companies that are establishing business in Mexico, Central and South America.

Key clients have included BNSF Railway (BNSF), Exelon Corporation, LPB Energy Management, Capital Distributing, Q4i Financial Services, Smith Barney, Law Offices of Shelly West, Masergy Communications, EyeNX, Verizon Wireless, Verizon (formerly GTE Corporation), Sabre Holdings Travel Network, EDS and others.

Prior to working with diversified individual and corporate accounts, Ms. Morrow was director of corporate communications for DacEasy, Inc., the accounting software publisher. She was instrumental in helping launch the company in 1985 and achieving visibility worldwide. Ms. Morrow also managed all public relations activities for DacEasy’s sister companies, MainLan, Inc. and TeleMagic, Inc. Before DacEasy, she was press relations manager for Future Computing, Inc. a market research firm for the personal computer industry. Ms. Morrow also worked in Mexico for eight years that included positions with an import-export company, advertising agency, a securities company and two law firms.

Ms. Morrow has won several industry awards for product/company launches and ongoing public relations campaigns. Most recently, she won a national telecommunications-marketing award for a communications program implemented for Masergy Communications. Other honors include several awards for the media relations program her firm executed for Verizon’s SuperPages“, the company’s interactive yellow pages directory service.

As an accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), Ms. Morrow has served in local, district, and national leadership roles for the organization. She is also active on public relations panels and has led seminars for PRSA and other professional associations. Other activities include original writing of several published articles for industry publications.

Ms. Morrow has served on the local board of directors for Junior Achievement, was a member of its executive committee, chaired the Awareness Committee, and continues to serve as a volunteer teacher for the organization. Ms. Morrow also has chaired and served on the communications committee for the Women & Heart Health Luncheon, American Heart Association. For five years, she has served on the marketing committee for the Tech Titan Awards, sponsored by the Richardson Chamber of Commerce’s Metroplex Technology Business Council.

Ms. Morrow is very actively involved with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) based in Alexandria, Virginia. She serves as a coordinator with Team HOPE, NCMEC’s family advocacy support group, which helps parents of missing children both in the U.S. and worldwide.

Ms. Morrow has been a guest teacher at Southern Methodist University for undergraduate and graduate communications courses and the University of Texas at Dallas where she has conducted a four-hour workshop in crisis communications case studies for a public relations graduate course.

Fluent in Spanish with a working knowledge of Italian and Portuguese, Ms. Morrow holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Communications from Georgia State University and a Master of Arts degree in Developmental Psychology from the University of Saint Thomas, St. Paul, Minnesota.
